Julie is a classically trained ballerina/dancer with credentials from some of the most prestigious schools and theatres in the nation including: North Carolina School of the Arts, The London Contemporary Dance Company and the The Tisch School of the Arts. She is recognized as one of the most prominent and versatile Pilates instructor in Los Angeles. Julie received her training under the tutelage of Romana Kryanowska and certified under Power Pilates of New York. With over a decade of teaching both West and East methods of Pilates, she is a great asset to the development of Align Beverly Hills. As principal instructor and cofounder of Align Beverly Hills her prodigious dance background and in-depth Pilates instruction has created a seamless integration of these two demanding fields resulting in a powerful and unique workout. Alexis received her training as Studio de Corps under tutlage of iane Diefenderfer and Babara Bean-Abel in 1998. Her love for GYROTONIC® training came from studying with master teacher Babara Schwarz at GYROTONIC® Los Angeles. Alexis is certified in both GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® techniques.

Sher enjoys all forms of movement and sharing it with others. Not only is she a dancer, choreographer and teacher (she received her BA in dance from the University of California, Irvine), she is a certified Aline Conditioning® Pilates instructor as well as a GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® instructor. She has studied, taught and performed throughout the United States, Mexico City, Europe and is currently working in Palm Desert and the Los Angeles area. She has a passion for people, health and overall well being utilizing the movement modalities she specializes in. Working with people of various ages, athletic abilities and fitness backgrounds has enabled her to create innovative programs specific to clients' needs and goals in studios, gyms, schools, vacation destinations and the privacy of their own home. Nicole is a native of Erie, Pennsylvania, and an alum of Texas Christian University where she graduated with honors with a BFA in Ballet and Modern dance. She began studying pilates at a young age as it paired nicely with her dance training. Nicole received her certification from Power Pilates in New York, under the tutelage of Bob Leikens and Susan Moran Perich. She has also studied anatomy with Irene Dowd. She is commited to actualizing her students' individual potential in the workout, emphasizing good body mechanics, Pilates form, and technique.

Abbe a Pilates enthusiast for more than 12 years, began studying with Niedra Gabriel, and was fully certified through Ivon Dahls' program. She is experienced in working with students with a variety of needs and fitness levels, including many disabilities and chronic conditions. In 2007, she created a 'Pilates in a chair' class for the elderly. Abbe has an extensive background in theater, film and dance, and is familiar with many movement techniques, including Alexander and Feldenkries. She loves people and is forever fascinated by observing human movement and has been touched by the profound results Pilates brings to peoples' lives.

Alex was introduced to Pilates at a young age and was re-introduced after a knee injury. Alex used Pilates rehabilitation to supplement traditional rehab, very pleased with the results, she decided to train as an instructor. Studying with Marie- Jose Blom, she received her certification through Long Beach Dance Conditioning in 2006. Always eager to keep learning, she has continued her studies in a variety of bodywork techniques including Yoga, Feldenkrais, Yamuna Body Rolling, and exercise anatomy. Guided by the individual needs of her clients, Alex uses safe and effective training to assist her clients in achieving their goals.

Courtney began studying Pilates 12 years ago and was hooked after only a few sessions! She immediately noticed positive changes in her posture, muscle tone and flexibility as well as relief from chronic back pain. Wanting to share her passion and enthusiasm for the Pilates method, Courtney earned her teaching certification from Power Pilates in 2009. In addition to Pilates, Courtney also has extensive dance training and has studied ballet and drama at New York University, North Carolina School of the Arts and the Atlanta Ballet School.

KAREN COHEN, CN
Karen Cohen is a certified nutritionist with an extensive educational background in nutrition science. In her practice and with her clients, Karen offers warm, supportive, practical dietary counseling based on the individual's food preferences, habits and lifestyle. Karen specializes in breaking the losing cycle of yo-yo dieting by tailoring an individualized program for each of her clients. Far beyond meal planning, Karen uses an in-depth health questionnaire in conjunction with Bioelectric Impedance Analysis (BIA), a new technology which measures percentages of body fat and lean muscle mass, basal metabolic rate, hydration level, cellular toxicity, and overall cellar health. Karen will use this information to design a food and exercise plan that is customized for your lifestyle.
In addition to her practice, Karen is a collaborative partner with the American Heart Association, assisting them in developing nutritional programs. Karen serves as a nutrition expert and has appeared on the television show Coffee Break to discuss the No Fad Diet book written by the American Heart Association.
